Susan L. Alexander is a licensed attorney in both California and Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Arts at UC Berkeley, Juris Doctor at Texas A&M Law Center and Master of Laws (LL.M in Taxation) at the University of San Diego. She is a passionate advocate for the elderly, their families and loved ones.
Susan’s sole focus is on matters of Elder Law, Medi-Cal Planning for Long Term Care, Estate Planning, Trust Administration and Litigation, Conservatorships and the Administration of Decedents’ Estates (Probate).
Susan has a wealth of legal experience and is active in a variety of legal organizations, including the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, Medicaid Practice Systems, Elder Law Answers and WealthCounsel. She has achieved a reputation as a creative attorney who is sensitive enough to care yet tough enough to be an exceptionally able advocate.
Prior to forming her own firm, she was the Senior Associate with a prominent San Francisco firm and served as the lead attorney in the firm’s estate planning and probate department. During this time, the partner with whom Susan closely worked earned San Francisco Magazine’s prestigious designation as a “Northern California Superlawyer” in the practice area of Probate.
Susan is a firm believer in giving back to the community. Professionally, Susan has served on the Board of Governors of the Lawyers’ Club of San Francisco and has been an active volunteer with the San Francisco Bar Association’s Volunteers Services Legal Program. She is a 5th generation Monterey County resident who has donated her time to a variety of community service organizations over the years, with an emphasis on representing abused and neglected children and victims of domestic violence. She is also an avid supporter of animal rescue groups and senior rights as they pertain to companion animals.
